Elecampane, also known as horse-heal, is a plant species in the sunflower family. The root of this plant is known for its medicinal properties and may be used to strengthen and support the respiratory system, prevent coughing, loosen phlegm, improve stomach function, treat nausea and diarrhea, and kill worms that live in the intestine.
