Oregano is a spice that is sometimes referred to as the “Spice of Life” as it has the highest amount of antioxidants compared to any other spice. Oregano is a great source of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin K, folate, calcium, phosphorous, potassium, and iron. Oregano may be used to help reduce inflammation, boost mood, help fight bacterial infections (such as staph), reduce viral infection, manage diabetes, aid digestion, improve heart health, protect against cancer, and boost overall health. It may also be used to help with skin sores, aching muscles, cramping, asthma, colds, urinary tract infections, and headaches.
