Acetazolamide is a medication that reduces fluid buildup in the body by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase. It may help with altitude sickness, glaucoma, certain seizure disorders, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, congestive heart failure, and respiratory alkalosis.
