Cardamom, sometimes called cardamon, is a spice that comes from the Zingiberaceae plant family and has been used in herbal medicine for centuries. Cardamom may be taken for digestion problems such as heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, liver and gallbladder issues, and loss of appetite.
