Swedish Bitters for Digestion is a natural way to improve one's digestion and has been used for hundreds of years. It is made of bitter herbs that support digestive function by stimulating bitter receptors located on the tongue, stomach, gallbladder, and pancreas. Their primary effect is to promote digestive juices such as stomach acid, bile, and enzymes to breakdown food and help with the absorption of nutrients. It may be used to help improve protein digestion and mineral absorption, reduce gas and bloating, improve the breakdown of fats and fat-soluble vitamins (vitamins D, E, A, K), promote regular bowel movements, relieve occasional heartburn, decrease food sensitivities, promote liver health, prevent small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and Candida yeast overgrowth, suppress appetite and sugar cravings, regulate blood sugar, reduce inflammation, improve detoxification, relieve joint pain, boost mood, and help with healthy skin. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, bitter herbs help promote cooling and remove "heat" from the body (a.k.a inflammation).
