Frankincense, also known as olibanum, is a resin that comes from the Boswellia tree and has long been used for both spiritual and medicinal purposes. Frankincense has antioxidant, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and pain-relieving properties and plays an important role in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. It boosts physical, mental, and emotional health. Frankincense may also be used to help rejuvenate the skin, prevent signs of aging, promote cellular health, reduce arthritis, decrease joint pain, reduce symptoms associated with irritable bowel disease, aid in digestion, promote blood circulation, reduce asthma, improve oral health, and decrease stress and negative feelings. Frankincense may also be used to ground oneself and is great for meditation. For deeper meditation, combine with Myrrh gum.
