Doxorubicin is a chemotherapy medication used to treat several types of cancer such as breast cancer, bladder cancer, Kaposi’s sarcoma, lymphoma, and acute lymphocytic leukemia. It works by slowing down or stopping the growth of cancer cells by blocking Topoisomerase II, an enzyme that cancer cells need to divide and grow.
