Theacrine is a naturally occurring chemical that is similar to caffeine and found in various teas such as Kucha tea. Similar to caffeine, theacrine stimulates the central nervous system at higher doses and decreases central nervous activity at lower doses. Contrary to caffeine, higher doses of theacrine do not result in tolerance, meaning that its effects do not diminish over time. Theacrine may help increase alertness without contributing to anxiety or stress. It may also help boost energy, cognitive function, focus, and mood.
