Evening Primrose Oil is made from the seeds of the flowers of a plant native to North America and has been used to treat various health conditions. It contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an omega-6 fatty acid. Evening Primrose Oil may be used to help improve skin health, reduce acne and eczema, decrease breast pain during menstruation, reduce symptoms related to premenstrual syndrome (PMS), decrease menopause symptoms (such as hot flashes), improve heart health, reduce blood pressure levels, decrease nerve pain, reduce pain caused by arthritis, decrease morning stiffness related to arthritis, improve mobility, decrease inflammation, increase cervical mucus, and support hormone balance. It may also be used to help with attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
