Alpha GPC, or Alpha-GlyceroPhosphoCholine, is a phospholipid and precursor to acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in memory as well as other cognitive functions. Alpha GPC is able to cross the blood-brain barrier. It may be used to help support brain health, enhance cognitive function, facilitate learning and memory, improve mental clarity, prevent exercise-induced reduction of choline levels, boost endurance performance, and increase growth hormone secretion. Alpha GPC may help with Alzheimer's disease, stroke, and dementia.
