Hyaluronic acid is a compound found in the tissues of the body, with highest concentrations in connective tissues such as skin and cartilage. Its main function is to retain water to keep the tissues moist and lubricated. Hyaluronic acid may be used to promote healthier skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, speed wound healing, relieve joint pain, reduce acid reflux symptoms, relieve dry eyes, and maintain bone strength. It may also be used for its anti-ageing properties.
