Hi Margo, we suggest setting the volume for Audible ICs at a comfortable for you level.

This seems to work instantly on me. I have tried it a few times on different days, and the results are the same. When I start listening to this Audible, I get this slight numbing sensation from the back of my neck all the down to both my hands. My stiff neck and shoulder aches seems to disapppear with this sensation.
