Is there a specific volume of water when imprinting in water and do you drink it all at once or throughout the day?

If placing on the sternum, I assume you can do it anytime. Is there an optimal time?

Ian Fong, when using Glowing IC Pad or IC Hummer you can imprint up to 2 liters of water at a time. You can drink water for 1-3 days (regular water will hold imprint for 3 days). We recommend using the same imprint IC or complex at least 3 times a day, drinking at least 2oz (50ml) of water at a time.

Hi, could I also use this for a 3 year old who is exhibiting uncontrolled tantrums and sudden hyperactive behavior?

Florina , overall any ICs can be used by children under parent's supervision. The duration of the complex is determined by the longest included IC in the complex. To make it shorter you can make a copy of this complex by removing Lung Detox (Rife) and then the complex will be just 20 minutes.
