Active Hexose Correlated Compound (AHCC) is a mushroom extract that has been shown to strongly boost the function of natural killer cells. It is great for prevention and treatment of colds and the flu, and should also be considered in any case of bacterial or viral infection such as pneumonia, herpes, HPV, Epstein-Barr/mononucleosis, and even Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Used at the first indication of illness it can often prevent its progression. In cancer care it has been shown to reduce bone marrow suppression of chemotherapies. Studies have also found that it can reduce PSA in prostate cancer. Its utilization in cancer therapy should be under the advisement of your health care provider.
