Triphala is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal remedy made from a combination of three plants native to India: Indian gooseberry (Amla), Bibhitaki, and Haritaki. Used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine, Triphala may help boost oral health, control gingivitis, decrease blood sugar levels, improve peristalsis, relieve constipation, reduce inflammation, and alleviate symptoms related to arthritis and gout. Specifically formulated for high Pitta dosha, it also may help cool and calm the body, reduce excess heat and acidity, and promote overall balance.
