San Qi Formula (San Qi Pian) is a combination of herbs that are traditionally used to treat bleeding caused by various conditions. It may be used to help treat bleeding (internal or external), blood in the urine or stool, bleeding from infection, bruising, coughing blood (hemoptysis), acute Crohnโs disease, epistaxis (nosebleed), bleeding gums, hemorrhoids, hematemesis (vomiting blood), excessive menstrual bleeding, phlebitis, rectal bleeding, bleeding ulcers, and uterine bleeding. San Qi Formula may also be used to help with pain and swelling due to trauma or arthritis. In Chinese medicine, San Qi Formula may be used to stop bleeding, eliminate blood stasis, and purge toxicity. This IC was made with the help of Notoginseng Radix (Pseudoginseng Tienqi Ginseng / San Qi, Tian Qi), Agrimoniae Herba (Agrimony / Xian He Cao), Celosiae Cristatae Flos (Cockscomb Flower / Ji Guan Hua), Imperatae Rhizoma (Imperata Rhizome / Bai Mao Gen), and Platycladi Cacumen (Oriental Arborvitae Leaf and Stem / Ce Bai Ye).
