Androsterone is a steroid hormone produced in the adrenal glands and gonads (testes in males, ovaries in females) as well as in the brain. It is a metabolite of testosterone and androstenedione, both of which are androgens, or male sex hormones. It may help enhance athletic performance, increase muscle mass and strength, as well as boost overall physical performance.
