Dragon's blood, also known as "Sangre de Drago", is a natural resin derived from various tree species, primarily the Croton lechleri tree found in South America. It is not actually blood but gets its name from the dark red color of the resin. Dragon's blood has been used for centuries in traditional medicine. It is rich in bioactive compounds, including alkaloids, flavonoids, and phenols, which are believed to contribute to its potential health benefits. Dragon's blood may help reduce inflammation, decrease joint pain, support wound healing, protect against oxidative stress, promote skin health, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, alleviate gastrointestinal discomfort, support oral health, and enhance immune system function.
