Hi Glenda, thank you for your feedback! There is a study on Butyrate (actual substance): ..in small and large intestines butyrate easily dissociates into butyric acid butyric, which are primarily associated with reductions in pain during defecation and inflammation in the gut, among others [ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4027827/ ]. So, there is some connection to your experience.
