Dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) is a compound that is naturally produced in the body and can also be found in fatty fish such as sardines and salmon. It has been associated with enhancing memory, boosting mood, and improving brain function. DMAE is believed to increase the production of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that helps nerve cells transmit signals. It may be used to help support memory, manage attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), boost athletic performance, elevate mood, manage symptoms related to depression, support healthy brain function, improve concentration, reduce wrinkles, and improve skin appearance.
