Filgrastim is a medication used to stimulate the bone marrow to produce more neutrophils, a type of white blood cell essential for fighting infections. It may help prevent or treat neutropenia caused by chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, certain chronic illnesses, or congenital conditions, thereby supporting immune function and reducing the risk of infection.
