White willow bark, also known as nature’s aspirin, has been used for thousands of years as a natural pain reliever. Its active ingredient, salicin, has both anti-inflammatory and analgesic (i.e. pain-relieving) properties. White willow bark may be used to help reduce fever, boost the immune system, reduce pain, manage arthritis symptoms, support athletic performance, promote heart health, decrease menstrual cramps, improve skin quality (i.e. reduce the appearance of wrinkles and dark spots), fight headaches, improve mood, and promote weight loss.
