Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, more commonly referred to as TUDCA, is a water-soluble bile acid that is naturally produced by the body and found in liver bile. TUDCA has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to help with hepatic and biliary disorders. It may be used to help detoxify the liver, reduce liver enzymes that are elevated, support liver health, treat cholestasis, promote brain health, support mitochondria and cellular health, and promote a healthy gut microbiome.
