Shalini, you can place the glow pad directly on the skin, or keep a thin cloth between skin and pad. Be sure to keep your eyes closed, don't look directly into the light. Since this is a rather long PEMF program you might like to place the pad on your bed or arrange it in a way that allows you to enjoy comfortably. Do one side, then the other.
I would use this particular program on the sternum, and choose a shorter option to use directly on the face.
