Melatonin is best known as the sleep hormone. However, there is a very large body of research showing its important role in both prevention and treatment of cancer, most specifically hormone sensitive cancers. Melatonin beneficially modifies the action of estrogen and testosterone at their cell receptors. Melatonin can also inhibit the growth and multiplication of cancer stem cells. There are in addition to melatonin's role as an important brain antioxidant, mercury chelator, and circadian regulator. This particular IC has the information of 60mg melatonin, a dose appropriate for cancer and related melatonin benefits, but not specifically for sleep induction.
