Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate belong to a family of molecules called glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). GAGs are an integral component of all connective tissue in the body. Adequate supply of GAGs is necessary to maintain the health and strength of tendons and ligaments, cartilage within joints, linings of cells and surfaces in the body, and much more. Supplementation with glucosamine and chondroitin are indicated in both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, injury and surgery recovery, and repair of "leaky gut" and establishment of digestive tract integrity.
