Temozolomide is the most widely used chemotherapeutic agent in the treatment of the most common form of brain cancer, called glioblastoma (GBM). Temozolomide is an alkylating agent. It causes excessive DNA methylation, which impairs DNA synthesis, and thus cell division and cell survival. As a powerful form of chemotherapy, it is strongly advised that no one other than those with a confirmed diagnosis of GBM use this IC.
