Artemisia, also known as mugwort, has been known since antiquity for its anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and antibacterial properties and actions. It is often advised in case of water retention where it proves to be really effective. It is recognized as a powerful dewormer. Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is a particular variety of Artemisia that is used to help enhance digestion and promote nutrient absorption by stimulating the production of stomach acid and bile. It may also be used as a parasite cleanser.
