Galium is used to stimulate the defense mechanism in cases of chronic illness and viral infections including colds and flu. It may also be used to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, anemia, anosmia (loss of smell), basal cell carcinoma, symptoms of cataract, cholesteatoma, eosinophilic pneumopathy, epithelioma, fibroma, fibroma of the breast, granulocytopenia, granuloma, immune deficiency, infertility, leucopenia, lipoma, progressive muscular dystrophy, myxedema, optical neuritis, neuroma, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, retinitis, and sebaceous cyst.
