can be placed anywhere on the abdomen or umbilicus.

Yes, I would place on my stomach.  Most are normally applied to sternum

It definitely works. I used to be on this following back pain and surgery. I am off now, but this feels goodโ€ฆlike a milder version of the real thing. It takes the edge off so you can handle the pain and calm your nervous system and doesnโ€™t make you feel sleepy like tablet form. Hope this helps!
