Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ), which is sometimes called methoxatin, is a small quinone molecule that plays a very important role in preventing oxidative damage within the cells and especially within the mitochondria. PQQ supports healthy aging and is primarily used to optimize cellular energy production and thus to treat fatigue or general weakness. It may also be used to help with inflammation, manage diabetes, and improve sleep quality. Additionally, there is research suggesting it is beneficial for both cardiovascular and cognitive health. PQQ can be found in fruits and vegetables, such as kiwi and green peppers, as well as human breast milk.
