Neem oil is extracted from the tropical neem tree, a recognized medicinal plant. Neem oil has been used by practitioners of traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine for various purposes such as reduce blood sugar levels (type 2 diabetes), treat gastric ulcers, kill bacteria, and prevent plaque formation in the mouth. It may also be used to help treat dandruff, nail and foot fungus, acne, eye problems, and dry skin. Neem oil may also be used to promote hair health and growth, help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, reduce scars, and stimulate collagen production. It may also be used on plants to boost plant health.
