1. If I want to keep the plastic film on to protect the glass, does that diminish the strength/effectiveness of the IC Pad at all?

1. You can keep protective film, it does not affect the strength.
2. Yes, you can apply it through clothing. If light do not penetrate clothes you will not have the additional benefits of Red and IR lights.
3. GlowPad 3 field intensity is about 2 times stronger compared to IC Hummer.
